Welcome, Cook Family!

This family welcomes their 2 new children!

Benjamin & Jessica Cook, who adopted their son Cameron from foster care seven years ago, officially adopted Hendrix & Nadiri after fostering them for a year.

Susan was able to join them on their celebratory journey for National Adoption Day, a day that the whole family had been anxiously waiting for. "That sense of fullness from everybody being here that's supposed to be here is wonderful" says Benjamin.

A happy day indeed especially when Hendrix has been asking for a long time “to stay forever”. However, Jessica wants to make sure other families know this as well: “we’re rough around the edges…it’s not a perfect fairytale…and tomorrow won’t mean everything is perfect.” Meaning, there is still work ahead for this new family…but work that is worth doing because now they are together.
