November 23 was a truly monumental day at Exploration Place in Wichita, which witnessed the joyful adoption of 29 children by 19 loving families! Throughout this heartwarming event, there were 3 dedicated attorneys and 2 compassionate judges present to help finalize these important adoptions from the morning until the day concluded, starting at 11am.

The event was organized with the generous assistance of EmberHope, who provided a delightful array of engaging activities, including delicious food, fun face painting, whimsical balloon animals, fascinating critters from Tanganyika, and beloved characters from Star Wars and Ghostbusters, all of which contributed to making the day both enjoyable and filled with memorable experiences.

National Adoption Day is celebrated annually on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and serves as a reminder of the importance of providing loving homes for children in foster care. This day highlights the ongoing need for adoptive families and aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by many children in the foster care system. Festivities often include ceremonies where families officially adopt their children, and communities come together to celebrate the joy and significance of these new beginnings. Various organizations and advocates use this opportunity to share resources for prospective adoptive families and to emphasize the positive impact that adoption can have on children's lives.
